Nepal announces 15-member squad for U-19 Asia Cup

KATHMANDU: The Nepali team has been announced for the upcoming Under-19 Asia Cup organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 15-member Nepali team under the captaincy of Hemant Dhami for the tournament, which will begin in the UAE from next Friday.
The team will be led by captain Hemanta Dhami, with Arjun Kumal serving as the vice-captain.
Former national cricketer Shakti Gauchan has been appointed as the head coach, while Dhirendra Chand will be the assistant coach.
The squad includes Akash Tripathi, Uttam Thapa, Mayan Yadav, Naren Saud, Unis Bikram Singh Thakuri, Naren Bhatta, Santosh Yadav, Yuvraj Khatri, Roshan BK, Bipin Mahato, Aparajit Paudel, Abhishek Tiwari, and Ranjit Kumar.
Notably, wicketkeeper Dilsad Ali, along with fast bowlers Rajesh Yadav and Dayanand Mandal, have been excluded from the previously announced 18-member squad. Nepal’s first match in the tournament is scheduled for December 14 against Sri Lanka.
The competition, running from Nov 29 to Dec 8, will feature eight teams divided into two groups.
