Light rain & snow likely in Koshi & Gandaki hills

KATHMANDU: The country is experiencing the mild influence of western winds, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Currently, the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States have partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.

During the day on Sunday, the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki States are expected to see partly to generally cloudy weather, with the possibility of light rain in one or two locations.

Light snowfall is also likely in a few places in the higher hills and mountainous regions.

At night, the hilly regions of Koshi State may experience partly to generally cloudy weather, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear.

Light rain is possible in one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi State.

The department has advised caution, as light rain in hilly areas and snowfall in higher altitudes could impact agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, roadways, and air transport.
