KATHMANDU: Two Nepali nationals have died in a car accident in the city of Chantilly, Virginia, after a young Nepali driver lost control of his vehicle while speeding.

The incident occurred early Friday morning near the intersection of Loudoun County Parkway and Tall Cedars Parkway.

The driver, 30-year-old Bijay Tamang, was behind the wheel of a 2023 Ford Mustang, which veered off the road and crashed into a tree, resulting in the deaths of two passengers.

Two other individuals were injured in the crash.

Tamang has been charged with murder, and investigations are underway for additional charges related to reckless driving and speeding.
