Rain & snow likely in hills & mountains today

KATHMANDU: Light rain and snowfall are expected in certain regions of the country today, particularly in hilly and mountainous areas, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Morning Weather:

The hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States are experiencing partly to generally cloudy skies, while the weather remains mostly clear in other regions.

Afternoon Forecast:

Hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali States will see partly to generally cloudy skies. Light rain is possible in a few places within these regions. In higher altitudes and Himalayan areas, light snowfall is likely.

Nighttime Conditions:

Partial cloud cover is expected in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali States, with clear skies in most other parts of the country. Light rain may occur in isolated places in these regions, and some locations in high-altitude and Himalayan areas may see light snowfall.

The current weather patterns are influenced by a mild western wind and a weak low-pressure system located in the lower atmosphere over Uttar Pradesh, India.
