KATHMANDU: The General Secretary of CPN-UML, Shankar Pokharel, praised Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for ending load-shedding in the country.

Speaking at a gathering in Kathmandu, Pokharel highlighted that Oli’s leadership was responsible for eliminating the 18-hour daily power cuts.

He remarked, “The country used to face 18 hours of load-shedding. It was under Prime Minister Oli’s leadership that we ended it. However, others take credit for the work that was done by our Prime Minister.”

Pokharel also expressed his frustration over the fact that while the work was carried out under Oli’s leadership, credit was being taken by others.

He further emphasized that during Oli’s tenure, the country saw significant economic growth.
