KATHMANDU: The Nepal Pharmacy Council has mandated that pharmacists and pharmacy assistants must wear white aprons with their name, designation, and registration number while distributing medicines, effective from Dec 19.

Registrar Sanjiv Kumar Pandey stated that failure to comply will be treated as a violation of the council’s code of conduct and subject to action under the council’s regulations.

Regular monitoring will ensure adherence to the dress code.

Pharmacists are required to wear aprons displaying their details in white text on a green background, while pharmacy assistants must use blue backgrounds with white text.
