Nepali Embassy issues 400 passports in Toronto mobile camp
Along with passport services, other consular services were also provided during the camp.
KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal in Ottawa recently organized a two-day mobile camp in Toronto, where 400 Nepali nationals obtained their passports.
Along with passport services, other consular services were also provided during the camp.
The initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Passports, the Honorary Consulate of Nepal in Toronto, the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Canada, and other community organizations, targeting the large Nepali diaspora in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
According to a press release by the embassy, this marks the third such camp held in the GTA within a year.
The Nepali community in the region is notably large, making such initiatives highly impactful.
Similar camps have previously been organized in Edmonton, Vancouver, Halifax, and Calgary, enabling the Nepali diaspora across Canada to access essential consular services.
