Complaint filed against RSP Prez Lamichhane & 9 others in Chitwan
According to Chitwan Police, depositors of the cooperative lodged a supplementary complaint at the District Police Office against Lamichhane, Chhabilal Joshi, and others.
KATHMANDU: A complaint has been filed in Chitwan against Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former Home Minister, along with nine others, in connection with the Sahara Chitwan Cooperative fraud case.
According to Chitwan Police, depositors of the cooperative lodged a supplementary complaint at the District Police Office against Lamichhane, Chhabilal Joshi, and others.
Allegations include the misappropriation of Rs 108 million linked to Gorkha Media Network, where Lamichhane and Joshi were former executives.
The accused are under investigation for charges related to embezzlement of funds from cooperatives such as Suryadarshan, Supreme, and Swarnalakshmi.
Authorities are probing crimes of cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering against Lamichhane and his associates.
