Argentina defeats Peru 1-0 in World Cup Qualifier

KATHMANDU: Argentina secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Peru in a South American World Cup Qualifier match on Wednesday morning.

The decisive goal came in the 55th minute when Lautaro Martínez scored off an assist from Lionel Messi.

With this win, Argentina remains at the top of the table with 25 points from 12 matches.

Meanwhile, Peru is at the bottom with just 7 points from the same number of games.
