RSP calls for participation in 2nd phase of protest movement
The party has called on its workers, supporters, and the general public to participate in the cooperative victims' protest scheduled for Wednesday in Kathmandu.
KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has urged the public to support the second phase of the movement.
The party has called on its workers, supporters, and the general public to participate in the cooperative victims’ protest scheduled for Wednesday in Kathmandu.
RSP’s acting spokesperson, Manish Jha, emphasized the party’s solidarity with the campaign organized by the National Campaign for Cooperative Deposit Protection, which seeks the return of the savings of cooperative victims.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Jha stated, “We sincerely urge all party well-wishers and the general public to peacefully join the movement aimed at ensuring the return of depositors’ funds, without any party affiliation.”
While highlighting the government’s responsibility in addressing cooperative issues, RSP claimed that political revenge tactics, including the detention of individuals, will not resolve the problem, nor will it help victims recover their savings.
