Ministry of Land Management revamping outdated laws
KATHMANDU: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Balaram Adhikari today made an observation visit of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) Central Office at Bhadrakali here today.
After making an observation of the RSS, the Minister shared that the Ministry is currently in the process of amending and reforming the Acts, Regulations and laws that are outmoded and clash with the constitution as it has become difficult to carry out works related to land survey, revenue and land management due to these sorts of laws as well as the traditional thinking.
Stating that there are disputes and issues related to land use, tenure and ownership throughout the country including in places like Dharan, Bhairahawa, Birgunj, Janakpur, Krishna Nagar and other places, he said the Ministry is carrying out works focusing on good governance and policy reforms for resolving the problems related to land management.
Minister Adhikari also on the occasion inspected the RSS Newsroom and acquired information on the news collection, editing and dissemination process followed by the National News Agency.
RSS Executive Chairman Dharmendra Jha and General Manager Siddha Raj Rai had welcomed the Minister at RSS.
