CIB nabs Durga Prasai

KATHMANDU: Durga Prasai, a controversial medical entrepreneur, has been arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) from his residence in Bhaktapur.

Prasai was detained for allegedly spreading misleading information against former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

He recently released a video claiming that Oli had invested Rs 32.5 billion in Cambodia’s telecom sector, which led to the arrest, according to CIB.

Prasai, known for making controversial statements against various political leaders, has faced multiple arrests, including one on Sept 22 for cybercrime charges.
