Hezbollah media Chief Mohammad Afif killed in Israeli attack

KATHMANDU: An Israeli airstrike targeted the Syrian Ba’ath Party office in central Beirut, resulting in the deaths of Hezbollah media chief Mohammad Afif and three others, according to local TV channel Al-Jadeed.
Al-Jadeed reported that Israeli fighter jets launched two missiles at the office located between the Ras al-Naba area and the Sodeco Square commercial center.
The airstrike caused extensive damage, with most of the building destroyed.
Ambulances arrived at the scene to clear the debris and search for victims.
Since September 23, Israeli forces have intensified their airstrikes on Lebanon, following escalating clashes with Hezbollah.
According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, the death toll from Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon has reached 3,452 since the conflict began on October 8, 2023, with 14,664 people injured.
