Pushpa 2 trailer unleashed in Patna, sets stage for December release

KATHMANDU: The highly anticipated Pushpa 2: The Rule trailer made waves on Nov 17, 2024, with an electrifying launch event held in Patna, Bihar.

This unprecedented trailer launch, outside the traditional Telugu film industry, was a direct result of the massive success of the first Pushpa film in 2021.

Thousands of fans gathered at Patna’s iconic Gandhi Maidan to witness the star-studded event, where Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil graced the stage, further highlighting the growing national appeal of South Indian cinema.

The trailer, which runs for 2 minutes and 47 seconds, showcases the return of Allu Arjun as the iconic Pushpa Raj. Alongside him, Rashmika continues her role as Srivalli, and Fahadh Faasil portrays the intimidating SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.

Fans responded overwhelmingly to the intense chemistry and high-octane action sequences shown, as well as the reimagined dialogue, with “Pushpa is fire” now transformed into the more explosive “Pushpa is wildfire.” This trailer also features glimpses of new characters, including Sreeleela, who will be performing a highly anticipated dance number.

With the film set to release on Dec 5, 2024, Pushpa 2 has already created a massive buzz.

Before the trailer even launched, the movie had already broken records, with over 30,700 tickets sold and pre-sale earnings surpassing $852,000, making it the fastest and highest pre-sale collection ever for an Indian film​.

The film, directed by Sukumar and featuring music by Devi Sri Prasad, is expected to continue the legacy of its predecessor, which garnered critical acclaim and widespread popularity across India. With a hefty budget of Rs 300 crore, Pushpa 2 is poised to be one of the biggest films of the year.
