Agreement reached between Prakash Bhujel & deceased family

KATHMANDU: An agreement has been reached between Jhakri Prakash Bhujel and the family of Narayan Nagarkoti and his wife, who lost their lives in a tragic accident, according to the Kathmandu District Police Office.
The incident occurred on Kartik 28 (Nov 13) at Brahmakhel, Sankharapur Municipality-9, Kathmandu, when a jeep (Ba 19 Cha 2695) driven by Bhujel hit a motorcycle (Bagmati State-02-018 Pa 6875) carrying Narayan Nagarkoti and his wife Sanumaya.
Both victims succumbed to their injuries.
Sanumaya Nagarkoti passed away during treatment at Grande International Hospital, while her husband Narayan died at the scene. Following the accident, Bhujel voluntarily surrendered to the police.
The Kathmandu District Court granted police permission to detain Bhujel for five days for further investigation.
The police had been holding him in custody since the incident.
