Dhungana’s body to be kept for tributes at Sano Gaucharan

KATHMANDU: The body of former Speaker Daman Nath Dhungana, who passed away at 83, will be kept for final tributes at Sano Gaucharan, Gyaneshwar, from 11 AM today.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and leaders from various political parties, along with prominent figures from different sectors, are expected to pay their respects.
Dhungana, who had been undergoing treatment for liver-related issues, died on Sunday afternoon at Frontline Hospital, Baneshwar.
His body was initially kept at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital morgue.
Following tributes at Sano Gaucharan, his final rites will be conducted at Pashupati Aryaghat.
The government is set to decide on funeral honors during a Cabinet meeting this morning.
