CPN-UML registers candidate for mayor of Kirtipur

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has registered candidates for the mayoral and ward chairperson positions in Kirtipur Municipality.

Dr. Surendra Manandhar has been nominated for mayor of Kirtipur, while Harsha Maharjan and Badri Budhathoki have been nominated for the chairperson positions of Ward No. 1 and Ward No. 4, respectively.

The candidates submitted their nomination papers at the office of the Chief Election Officer in Kirtipur.

Nomination papers for candidates are being accepted from 10 AM to 5 PM today for the upcoming by-elections.

Voting for the 42 vacant local level positions will be held on the 16th of Mangsir (Dec 1st).
