Cooperative provides eye care services to over 7,000 locals
The service seekers were given consultation service too.
KATHMANDU: A cooperative organization based in Jhalari of Shuklaphanta Municipality-10, Kanchanpur, has provided eye care services to more than 7,000 people in a year.
The Srijansheel Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization provided eye care services as part of its social responsibility with technical support from Shuklaphanta Municipality and Charity Health Foundation, Dhangadhi.
Chair of Srijansheel Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization Shivaraj Bhatta said that the eye care services are given in a subsidized rates and a total of 641 cataract patients were provided surgery service free of cost.
The service seekers were given consultation service too.
Bhatta shared that eye camps run in all wards in the municipality offered services to 3,300 plus locals.
Many of the patients visiting the eye camp enjoyed services for free.
