Man dies in rod attack

KATHMANDU: A man has died following a rod attack in Barhadashi Rural Municipality-5, Jhapa.

The victim, identified as 45-year-old Gangalal Majhi, succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to B&C Hospital, Birtamode, for treatment.

The incident occurred on Saturday night at around 10:30 PM during a dispute.

Local resident Manpur Rajbanshi allegedly attacked Majhi with a rod.

Rajbanshi has been taken into custody by the Area Police Office, Birtamod, for further investigation.
