KATHMANDU: Two individuals from Madi Municipality-8 have been arrested by Chitwan National Park (CNP) authorities for allegedly keeping wild boars without proper permission.

According to the park’s information officer, Avinash Thapamagar, the arrest followed reports that the individuals were keeping two wild boars without the required approval.

Thapamagar explained that wildlife can only be kept with authorization from the concerned department, as per the wildlife care regulations.

Even for commercial purposes, permission is mandatory.

The arrested individuals face charges for illegally keeping wildlife, and further investigations are underway.
