Former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane flown from Bhairahawa to Pokhara
Lamichhane was flown to Pokhara via a Yeti Airlines.
KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, the president of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), who was arrested in connection with a cooperative fraud case, has been taken from Bhairahawa to Pokhara.
After his statement was recorded in Rupandehi, he was transferred to Pokhara.
Lamichhane was flown from Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) to Pokhara after his statement in Rupandehi.
He was earlier brought from Kaski to Bhairahawa on Tuesday.
Lamichhane had been questioned for three days in connection with the fraud case involving the Supreme Cooperative Fund in Butwal.
Lamichhane was arrested by the police on Oct 18 from the central office of his party in Banasthali, under charges of cooperative fraud.
The investigation is ongoing with his detention extended for the fourth time.
Lamichhane is being investigated for cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering.
