KATHMANDU: Chairperson of the CPN-Maoist Centre, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has stated that Nepal-India relations became strained due to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

He blamed Oli for failing to maintain balance in neighborly relations, which he claimed put Nepal-India ties at risk.

Prachanda referred to Oli’s visit to China as playing the “China card.” In an interview with The Hindu, he accused Oli of escalating the border dispute with India through the visit.

As an opposition leader, Prachanda also highlighted that during his 18-month tenure, he had elevated Nepal-India relations to new heights.
