Gold prices drop by Rs 2,200 in a single day amid seasonal decline

KATHMANDU: Gold prices have dropped in the Nepali market again today (Thursday).

Despite the peak season for gold and silver trading with the arrival of Mangsir, prices have continued to decline.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has fallen by Rs 2,200 per tola today.

Chhapawal gold is now being traded at Rs 160,000 per tola, compared to Wednesday’s price of Rs 162,200 per tola.

Silver prices have also declined, with a drop of Rs 35 per tola.

Today, silver is being traded at Rs 1,905 per tola, whereas it was traded at Rs 1,940 per tola on Wednesday.
