Health Minister Paudel calls for strengthening healthcare services in Karnali
Minister Paudel urged KAHS officials to work with integrity and efficiency to improve health services in the region.
KATHMANDU: Pradip Paudel, the Minister for Health and Population (MoHP), emphasized the importance of enhancing healthcare services in Karnali State.
He made this statement during his address at the first convocation of the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) held today.
Minister Paudel urged KAHS officials to work with integrity and efficiency to improve health services in the region.
He also shared that the Ministry plans to increase the current health insurance coverage, highlighting that KAHS plays a crucial role in producing skilled healthcare professionals.
The Ministry has prioritized the health sector in the region, allocating special funds in the annual budget for this purpose.
Minister Paudel further reminded the attendees that all burn victims in the province receive free treatment.
The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Kirsten Meisinger, a distinguished figure from the Harvard Medical College Center for Primary Care and System Strengthening in the USA, who served as the chief guest.
A total of 58 students graduated from KAHS in Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in medical sciences, public health, and nursing, as reported by Amrit Bahadur Bhandari, the Administrative Officer of the academy.
