KATHMANDU: The acting General Secretary of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Kavindra Burlakoti, has been granted the authority to sign the nomination letters for candidates participating in the local level by-elections.
Previously, this authority was held by the party President, Rabi Lamichhane.
At the Central Committee meeting held last Ashoj, the decision was made to participate in the local level member by-elections.
Furthermore, the authority to issue formal nomination letters for party candidates was originally given to President Lamichhane.
However, as Lamichhane was arrested in connection with a cooperative case, this authority has now been transferred to Burlakoti, according to Raswapa’s acting spokesperson, Manish Jha.
Jha also mentioned that the Election Commission has been formally informed about the change in the officials authorized to issue nomination letters and sign them.
