KATHMANDU: The written statement of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) president Rabi Lamichhane, who was arrested in a cooperative fraud case, has begun.
His written statement started on the second day at the District Government Attorney’s office in Rupandehi.
Yesterday, he was initially asked a few questions. Today, further questions are being posed to him in writing, and his responses are being sought.
It is expected that his statement will be completed today.
For his statement, District Attorney Premraj Paudel, DSP Bijay Pandit from Butwal, and the investigating officer are present.
Lamichhane is under investigation in connection with the Supreme Cooperative fraud case in Rupandehi.
He is being investigated for cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering.
Lamichhane, who has been in police custody for 27 days, was flown from Pokhara to Bhairahawa yesterday via a Buddha Air flight.
