KATHMANDU: In Nepal, gold prices have seen a significant decline, dropping by Rs 8,800 per tola over the past two weeks.
On Kartik 15 (Oct 31), gold was trading at Rs 171,000 per tola, but it has now fallen to Rs 162,200 per tola.
Even today (Wednesday), gold prices declined by Rs 400.
The previous day’s rate was Rs 162,600 per tola, which has now dropped to Rs 162,200 per tola.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, this represents the largest decline in gold prices in the last two weeks. While gold prices are falling, the price of silver has risen.
On Tuesday, silver was trading at Rs 1,925 per tola, and it has now increased to Rs 1,940 per tola on Wednesday.
