National Life Insurance’s ‘Employee Skill Enhancement Workshop’ concludes
The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of the company’s administrative staff, thereby enabling them to provide efficient services to all clients.
KATHMANDU: National Life Insurance Company Ltd. successfully concluded a three-day “Employee Skill Enhancement Workshop” under the banner of ‘Excel and Elevate’ at Hotel Siddhartha Bhilasa in Bhairahawa.
The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of the company’s administrative staff, thereby enabling them to provide efficient services to all clients.
The event was chaired by the company’s Chair, Prema Rajya Laxmi Singh.
More than 250 administrative employees, including departmental heads and staff from across the country, attended the conference.
During the inauguration, Chair Singh emphasized that all employees, regardless of their position, are brand ambassadors of the company and must take responsibility in their respective roles to elevate the company’s standing.
In recognition of exceptional performance, Chair Singh honored seven administrative staff members who had been outstanding in their daily tasks across various branches.
The awardees included Ram Singh Chaudhary from the Attariya branch, Rajendra Chaudhary from the Surkhet branch, Pravin Kumar Sharma from the Butwal branch, Milan Thapa Magar from the Damauli branch, Diksha Paneru from the central office, Pragya Acharya Karn from the Rajbiraj branch, and Dil Kumari Yonzan from the Panchthar branch.
In his welcome speech, Chief Executive Officer Suresh Prasad Khatri emphasized the company’s commitment to investing in the enhancement of employee skills to achieve excellent results. He affirmed that capable employees are essential to achieving outstanding outcomes.
Sambharaj Lamichhane, Deputy Director of the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Nepal, delivered a training session on asset laundering.
He cautioned attendees that the use of insurance as a means for laundering assets is on the rise, and he urged everyone to remain vigilant and adhere to ethical financial practices to prevent such activities, which harm national interests.
During the session, trainer Araniko Singh provided valuable insights on achieving excellence in one’s responsibilities. He emphasized the importance of identifying problems and preparing frameworks to address them, thereby facilitating solutions that would enhance customer service.
To assess the skills of the administrative staff, a quiz competition was held during the event. The winners—Pravin Kumar Sharma from Butwal, Chakraprasad Joshi from Kathmandu, and Deepak Marasini from the central office—were awarded cash prizes and certificates by the CEO.
The event also featured various sports activities, including a futsal tournament for men and musical chairs for women.
The futsal competition saw Koshi State, the Central Office, and Bagmati Province take the top three spots, while the winners of the musical chairs were Pavitri Lungeli from Sindhuli, Sabina Bhattarai from Kirtipur, and Apsara Khatri from Gaighat. The CEO presented trophies and medals to the winners.
This event was a significant step toward enhancing the skills of the company’s administrative staff, ensuring that National Life Insurance continues to provide high-quality services to its customers across Nepal.
