Rabi Lamichhane brought to Bhairahawa, protests erupt at airport (video)

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, the President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been brought to Bhairahawa in connection with a cooperative fraud case.

Lamichhane was transported from Pokhara to Bhairahawa via a Buddha Air flight.

He is currently under investigation for charges including cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering.

As soon as Lamichhane arrived in Bhairahawa, RSP supporters in Lumbini State organized a demonstration at Buddha Chowk and Lumbini Gate in the city.

Hundreds of supporters carrying national flags gathered at the airport and were seen chanting slogans outside the terminal.
