KATHMANDU: The Bhairahawa Airport has reopened after improvements in the weather.

Following the airport’s reopening, boarding at the Pokhara Airport has also commenced.

Today, a flight is scheduled to bring a key figure involved in a cooperative fraud from Pokhara to Rupandehi for a statement.

The individual, Lamichhane, had been brought to Pokhara Airport at 5:30 AM but could not fly earlier due to low visibility at Bhairahawa Airport. However, now that Bhairahawa Airport has reopened, boarding has begun at Pokhara.

In light of Lamichhane’s transfer, who was also a former Home Minister, security forces from both the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force have been deployed around Gautam Buddha International Airport.

The political party is preparing for protests in Rupandehi and Bhairahawa, with instructions issued to party members and activists to gather in Bhairahawa by 10 AM.

As Lamichhane is being brought to Rupandehi, victims of the cooperative scam are also planning to protest in front of the Government Attorney’s office.

In response to the dual protests, the police have tightened security measures from the airport to the Government Attorney’s office.
