28 injured as bus veers off road in Bheri Municipality; 4 in critical condition

KATHMANDU: A bus en route from Syauli Bazaar in Bheri Municipality-7 to Nepalgunj veered off the road at Kudu, Zero Point in Bheri Municipality-13 along the Mid Hill Highway, injuring 28 passengers.
The bus, registered as Ba 5 Kha 1892, lost control and fell approximately 60 meters down the hillside.
According to Dinesh Timilsina, the Information Officer at the District Police Office, the passenger list includes 10 women, seven men, and five children, as confirmed during a routine check at Jagatipur Police post.
Four of the injured passengers are reported to be in serious condition, while others sustained minor injuries.
Following the accident, the injured were initially treated at Kudu Health Post before being transported to Jajarkot District Hospital in Khalanga for further care.
