KATHMANDU: In the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier, Nepal defeated Thailand in a dominant display, winning by a massive 106 runs.

She claimed 3 wickets, conceding only 19 runs in her 4 overs. Riya Sharma and Rachana Kumari Chaudhary each took 2 wickets, while captain Pooja Mahato picked up 1 wicket.
Earlier, batting first, Nepal posted a total of 139 runs. Opener Sana Praveen top-scored with a splendid half-century, scoring 53 runs.
Fellow opener Savitri Dhami contributed 28 runs, while Sonya Pakhrin added 19 runs. Captain Pooja scored 4 runs, and Jyotsina Marasini contributed 7 runs.
Tirsana Bishwakarma remained unbeaten on 9, while Alisha Kumari Yadav was run out for 1. Seamers Simana KC and Kusum Godar were dismissed without scoring, and Riya Sharma remained not out on 1. Nepal also benefited from 12 extra runs given by Thailand.
