President Paudel appoints Nripa Dhwoj Niraula & Nityanand Pandey as SC judges

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has appointed two new judges to the Supreme Court.

In accordance with Article 129(2) of the Constitution, President Paudel appointed Nripa Dhwoj Niraula and Nityanand Pandey as judges on Sunday.

Pashupatisamser Jabba, the senior member of the committee, informed that both Niraula and Pandey were selected based on their qualifications, capabilities, and experience.

The Parliamentary Hearing Committee had approved their names on Friday, taking into account their qualifications and experience.

After the approval by the committee, the constitutional provision requires the President to appoint the proposed judges to the Supreme Court.
