UML MP Adhikari held on human trafficking charges

KATHMANDU: Lila Ballabh Adhikari, a member of the CPN-UML’s Koshi State Assembly, has been arrested on charges of human trafficking.

Police apprehended him in Biratnagar, with plans to transport him to Kathmandu later today.

Adhikari faces allegations of abusing his position to facilitate illegal migration to Japan.

In response, the CPN-UML party has already expelled him, stripping him of even his general membership.
