The defending champions lost 2-1 to Brighton in their recent game at Falmer Stadium.
City was leading 1-0 at halftime after Erling Haaland’s goal in the 23rd minute.
However, Brighton made a comeback in the second half, with João Pedro equalizing in the 78th minute, and Matt Ødegaard scoring the winning goal in the 83rd minute.
In their previous match, Manchester City had also lost 2-1 to Bournemouth.
