Chartered accountant dies after falling into lake while taking photos in Chitwan
The victim, identified as Arjun Gautam, a chartered accountant from Garima Tole, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16, was visiting the pond with his family on Thursday.
KATHMANDU: A 35-year-old man tragically lost his life after slipping into Baikuntha Lake in Chitwan while taking photos.
The victim, identified as Arjun Gautam, a chartered accountant from Garima Tole, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16, was visiting the pond with his family on Thursday.
According to Bhesh Raj Rijal, Information Officer at the District Police Office in Chitwan, Gautam was taking photos from a rock near the lake when he suddenly slipped and fell into the water.
Following the incident, a rescue team led by an inspector from the Area Police Office, Mani, was immediately dispatched.
An additional Armed Police team, led by a DSP, also arrived on the scene for further assistance.
Despite efforts to save him, Gautam was declared dead by doctors after being taken to the district hospital.
A post-mortem examination was conducted on Friday.
