Trump effect fades on gold: Price jumps Rs 2,000 in a day

KATHMANDU: With the election of Donald Trump in the United States, the gold price initially dropped, but it has now risen again on the second day.

In Nepal, gold prices surged by Rs 2,000 in a single day.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold reached Rs 166,500 per tola.

Previously, the price was Rs 154,500 per tola.

Today, silver also increased by Rs 20 per tola, reaching Rs 1,980.

On Thursday, silver was priced at Rs 1,960 per tola.
