KATHMANDU: According to the latest updates, Donald Trump is projected to win not only the necessary 270 electoral votes to be elected president but also the total popular vote.

The latest data shows that Trump has received more than 69 million votes, while Kamala Harris has received more than 63.7 million votes.
The counting is still ongoing. BBC’s most recent projection shows that Trump is expected to win 266 electoral votes, while Kamala Harris is projected to win 219 electoral votes.
Results from several states have not yet been finalized.
After returning to the White House, Trump has vowed to deport the largest number of immigrants in U.S. history, impose additional tariffs on foreign trade, and end the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
