KATHMANDU: During Florida Watch Party Donald Trump declared victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election at his watch party in Florida, addressing supporters with a wide-ranging speech.

He thanked voters, saying, “I want to express my extraordinary gratitude to the American people for electing me as your 47th and 45th President.”

Although votes are still being counted, Trump appeared poised to win a majority in the election. “America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,” he said. Trump also praised his running mate, JD Vance, calling him an excellent choice for vice president.

During his speech, Trump emphasized that this election marked the greatest political comeback in American history. A portion of Trump’s speech was dedicated to tech billionaire Elon Musk, whom he described as “an incredible guy.”

Trump also suggested that Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the former independent presidential candidate who had withdrawn from the race in August to support Trump, would have a role in his administration, specifically in the area of health services. Kennedy, known for promoting baseless conspiracy theories about vaccines, had previously dropped out to back Trump.
