UK Prime Minister eager to work with Trump

KATHMANDU: Following Donald Trump’s announcement of victory in the U.S. presidential election, leaders from around the world have begun offering their congratulations.

The British Prime Minister expressed eagerness to work with Trump, highlighting the shared values between the U.S. and the UK.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer became one of the first global leaders to congratulate Trump, calling it a “historic election win.” “I look forward to working with you in the coming years,” the British Prime Minister said. “As closest allies, we stand shoulder to shoulder in defending the shared values of freedom, democracy, and enterprise.”

He added, “From growth and security to innovation and technology, I am confident that the special relationship between the UK and the US will thrive in the coming years on both sides of the Atlantic.”
