The northeastern region of Catalonia has been hit hardest by the floods, with neighboring Valencia also severely impacted.

Spain’s Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, confirmed that local train services in the provinces of Castellón, Tarragona, and Barcelona were canceled after the Spanish Meteorological Agency issued a red alert for heavy rainfall.
The agency reported that more than 400 liters of rain per square meter fell between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning last week, causing significant damage in these cities.
Authorities have urged residents to avoid all non-essential travel as the situation continues to unfold.
