Donald Trump claims ‘unprecedented & strong mandate’ following election projections

KATHMANDU: U.S. President Donald Trump addressed a crowd of supporters at his campaign headquarters in Florida, claiming that America has granted him an “unprecedented and strong mandate.”

Speaking to a cheering crowd, Trump expressed confidence that in the future, Americans would look back on this day as “one of the most important days of their lives.”

Trump also alluded to the Republican Party regaining control of the Senate, stating that the nation now has a clear path to move forward and address critical issues such as border management and healing the divides within the country.

In his speech, Trump thanked his wife, Melania, and other family members for their support throughout the campaign.

He also used the occasion to deliver what he referred to as his victory speech, despite official election results not yet being announced.

However, projections from various sources indicated that Trump was edging closer to a potential victory.
