KATHMANDU: In the ongoing vote count, Donald Trump’s win in the U.S. presidential race has been confirmed, with key swing states tipping in his favor.

Trump is now preparing to address his supporters as the results make his victory increasingly certain. Large crowds of his supporters have gathered at his campaign office in Florida, awaiting his speech.

International media outlets report that Trump is expected to address them shortly.

With the victory in Pennsylvania, which has 19 electoral votes, Trump’s electoral tally has now reached 266.

To secure the presidency, a candidate needs 270 electoral votes, leaving Trump just 4 votes shy of the required majority.
