KATHMANDU: Lila Ballabh Adhikari, the Internal Affairs and Law Minister of Koshi Province, has resigned from his position following controversy surrounding his recent trip to Japan.

Minister Adhikari submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Hikmat Karki, according to Adhikari’s personal secretary, Rewat Kumar Basnet.

Basnet confirmed the development to Makalu Khabar.

“Minister Adhikari has already submitted his resignation to the Chief Minister,” Basnet said. “It will be approved shortly, and once the resignation is accepted, the Minister will hold a press conference to address the matter.”
