Sarees provided to 500 underprivileged women observing Chhath fast

KATHMANDU: Social worker Subodh Singh has provided sarees to 500 underprivileged women to help them celebrate the Chhath festival in Golbazar Municipality-12.
Speaking about the initiative, Singh emphasized that Chhath is a symbol of social unity and goodwill, and his aim was to make the festival more joyous for women from economically disadvantaged families.
The event, which was held under the chief guestship of Mahanth Lakshman Das of Betauta Math, also saw the presence of several prominent figures, including former headmaster of Janata Secondary School Golbazar, Rashik Bihari Pal, Ward Chair Ganesh Mukhiya, as well as representatives from various political parties, social workers, and intellectuals.
