KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) staged a protest in Pokhara in support of itsPresident, Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently in police custody in Kaski.

The protesters, mostly RSP activists, clashed with the police after they attempted to breach a restricted area at Ratna Chowk in Pokhara.

In response, the police used tear gas to disperse the crowd.

The confrontation escalated when the protesters tried to break through the cordoned-off area, leading to scuffles between the police and demonstrators.

Additionally, the police seized the keys to a vehicle that was being used in the protest.

Following the confiscation, RSP MP Sovita Gautam was seen demanding the return of the keys from the authorities.
