Lumbini CM Acharya to visit China for official tour

KATHMANDU: A seven-member delegation led by Lumbini State Chief Minister Chetan Narayan Acharya is set to participate in an international conference to be held in Sichuan Province, China, from Kartik 26 to 28 (Nov 11-13).

The State Government’s Council of Ministers approved the Chief Minister’s visit to China in today’s meeting, as confirmed by government spokesperson and Minister for Agriculture, Land Management, and Cooperatives, Dinesh Panthi.

Along with Chief Minister Acharya, the delegation will include Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Dhanendra Karki, Chief Secretary Mahadev Panthi, and other senior officials from the State government.

The Sister-State relationship between Lumbini State and Sichuan Province was established in 2019 with the aim of enhancing mutual cooperation and goodwill.

An agreement was made between the two provinces in sectors such as agriculture, industry, and tourism, to foster exchange and collaboration.

The visit is expected to include high-level discussions on the implementation of Lumbini State’s overall development plans, as well as expanding bilateral cooperation and collaboration.
