Government offices open from today

KATHMANDU: Government offices have reopened today after the Tihar holiday, which was observed until the day after Bhai Tika.

The holiday break concluded yesterday, and offices resumed operations today.

However, the working hours of government offices have been shortened by one hour, effective from today.

According to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, the working hours have been reduced due to shorter daylight hours during the winter season.

Although the reduction in office hours began on Thursday, 15th of Kartik (Oct 31), the offices remained closed for Tihar.

From today, government offices will open at 10 AM and close at 4 PM.
