KATHMANDU: A large crowd has gathered since early morning to purchase tickets for the SAFF Women’s Championship final between Nepal and Bangladesh today.

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has been selling tickets at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Bhadrakali Army Gate, and Jawalakhel Football Ground from 8 AM.

The arrangement allows each person to buy a maximum of two VIP tickets and five general parapet tickets. With online ticket sales closed, people started queuing early at ticket counters. ANFA has also announced that refunds will be provided for previously booked online tickets.

Earlier, ANFA had outsourced ticket sales to a company, but following the Nepal-India semifinal on Sunday, where tickets were oversold, ANFA decided to manage sales directly.

In that game, the 15,000-capacity Dasharath Stadium admitted around 19,000 spectators, leaving over 2,000 ticket holders unable to watch the match.

Ticket prices have been set at 500 and 1,000 Nepali rupees. The final between Nepal and Bangladesh is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM, with ANFA requesting that spectators enter the stadium by 5 PM.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will attend the match and is expected to present the trophy to the winning team.
