Number of arrests in Baluwatar reaches 17

KATHMANDU: Seventeen activists from the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have been arrested in Baluwatar while protesting for the release of Rabi Lamichhane.

The arrests occurred near Nepal House in Baluwatar, where the activists had gathered for a peaceful demonstration.

Kavindra Burlakoti, the acting general secretary of the RSP, reported that the number of those detained is increasing.

He accused the police administration of suppressing their peaceful protest efforts.
